Activities
Tennis, swimming, trampoline, cycling, walks in indigenous forests, the farm lands and to the dam. Children love the farm animals. Tours of the banana pack-house, Protea and sugar farm may be arranged, time permitting. Close to the Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk and Fort Nongqayi Museum Village with the Zululand Historical Museum, Vukani Zulu Cultural Museum, Eshowe Butterfly Dome and KZN Papermakers.
Within easy distance of Game Reserves (90 mins), beaches (35 mins) and battlefields. We are an hour and 15 minutes from Durban's King Shaka Airport.
General
Chase Guest House comprises a traditional sugar farm homestead in a beautiful garden bordering Eshowe, offering bed and breakfast or self-catering accommodation with personal service and country hospitality. Relax in two spacious, well-appointed double Garden Cottages with private patios and barbecue areas, or a larger Farm Cottage which sleeps five adults, specially popular with families and Groups. The Garden cottages have King or Queen beds.
The Farm Cottage has a large double (King ) room, a twin room and a single room. There are two bathrooms, none en-suite. There is a large sitting room, lovely shady front veranda, fully equipped kitchen, second sitting room and lots of space.
All units are equipped with DStv, free Wi-Fi, fans or heaters and their own tea and coffee-making facilities. An English/ continental/ Businessman’s breakfast is available in the main house. Cool off in a sparkling pool after a workout of tennis, cycling and the trampoline. There is great birding in the garden, at the dam, and in the indigenous forests on the farm, (95 species) making the location a fantastic place for birding enthusiasts.
Cars are washed daily and there is safe parking close to the cottages. Laundry can be done on request.
