Located in the picturesque upper Dargle in the Midlands of KZN, Copperleigh Trout Cottages boasts two very private, beautiful, fully equipped self-catering units. They are built overlooking the 10ha trout stocked Mavela Dam. Limited access means there are no crowds to spoil the experience. We are a working farm and have both cattle and sheep that can be seen. Inhlosane Mountain overlooks the farm and can be accessed from only a 5min drive away.

The Cottage (2-8 Sleeper) is the bigger double story unit, great for families or groups and features an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room which are located on the ground floor, as is the guest toilet and a double garage with electric doors. It includes DSTV Premium & a dvd collection, boardgames and more. It has a large fireplace inside and an outside fire pit. The bedrooms are all upstairs, two have queen size beds and feature ceiling fans, electric blankets and hairdryers. The loft room is perfect for kids and has a bunk bed and a queen size bed so is suitable to comfortably sleep up to 4 kids. The two bathrooms each have a shower & toilet. There is also a large garden to relax in or for kids to run and play games.

The log Cabin (2 sleeper) is built right on the waters edge of the dam, and features an open plan lounge & kitchen area, it comes complete with TV, dvd collection, WiFi and Android TV channels. The bedroom has a queen size bed with electric blankets, en-suite bathroom featuring a shower, basin and toilet, as well as a heated towel rail.

Your stay at our establishment will include:

-Free Access to the trout stocked Mavela Dam to fish for trout – no additional rod or catch fees

-Use of a kayak to paddle out on the dam with

-Complimentary WiFi at all units

-A bundle of firewood is provided daily for the Cottage fireplace and firepit, as well as for the Cabin outside braai
