Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge offers the thrill of Big Five game viewing as well as the comforts of a top-class resort. Situated in the malaria-free Nambiti Private Game Reserve, it is located in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal battlefields, a short drive from the legendary Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana battlefields. The Nambiti Private Game Reserve is only 3½ hours from Johannesburg, 2½ hours from Durban and 40 minutes from the Drakensberg. Families with children of all ages are welcome. – regret children under 3 years are not permitted at the lodge.

Enjoy the magnificent viewing deck; relax while viewing the many species of game and bird life or just cool off in the pool. Delicious meals are prepared by the in-house chef and can be enjoyed in the open boma, under the stars on the viewing deck or in the comfort of the main lodge. Game drives with experienced guides are a highlight for guests. Fishermen can try their luck at one the dams and for the historians, tours to the nearby battlefields can be arranged. Golf can also be booked for guests at one of the courses in the vicinity.

Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge is a charming boutique lodge offering luxury air- conditioned accommodation for up to 10 people. It has a wonderful location overlooking a waterhole. Guests will enjoy a home-away-from-home true bush-lodge experience for the entire family, including game drives, excellent cuisine and exceptional service.

Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge Chalets has five luxurious suites, including one family unit. The rooms are en-suite with a private deck and outdoor shower and are well spaced for total privacy. Enjoy views of the waterhole or the indigenous bush.

The lodge is ideal for small exclusive conferences or workshops for up to 10 people, or for a celebratory getaway. Sole and exclusive use of the lodge is allowed and this allows you to plan your own menus, time of game drives and location of meals by arrangement.
Policy
1. Reservations (F. I. T.)
Booking of a reservation must be in writing (email/facsimile). A reservation will remain provisional until it is confirmed with a deposit of at least 50%. Full payment must be received in advance, no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. All extras must be settled at the lodge prior to departure. Elephant Rock Lodge reserves the right, without notice, to release any accommodation held where the required deposits or payments have not been timeously received.

2. Reservations (Groups)
Any party reserving 60% or more of the rooms at any property is considered a group. Booking of a reservation must be in writing (email/facsimile). A group reservation will remain provisional until it is confirmed with a deposit of at least 50%, provided such deposit is received at least 60 days prior to scheduled date of arrival. Full payment must be received in advance, no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. All extras must be settled at the lodge prior to departure. Elephant Rock Lodge reserves the right, without notice, to release any accommodation held where the required deposits or payments have not been timeously received.

3. Cancellation Policy (F. I. T.)
Cancellation of a booking must be in writing and is subject to the following cancellation fees:
More than 30 days prior to arrival: 10% cancellation fee
14 days to 30 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee
14 days or less prior to arrival: 100% cancellation fee
Agents are encouraged to provide adequate travel insurance to cover Elephant Rock Lodge cancellation terms and conditions as they will bear the sole and absolute responsibility thereof.

5. Payments
Payments can be made by credit card or direct deposit to the relevant bank account. All credit cards require a letter of authorisation with the cardholder’s signature to debit same. Please ensure that copies of the bank transfer/deposit slip, together with the reservation details are faxed to the Nambiti central reservations office. Please note that cheques are not accepted.

6. Tour Leader/Guide/Pilot
Accommodation for a bona fide tour leader/guide/pilot is available. Rates for a tour leader/guide/pilot vary and are available on request. This rate is for accommodation and meals only and does not include game drives or other activities. The latter shall be offered subject to availability.

7. Wild Animals
Although attacks by wild animals are rare, guest are reminded that many of the animals and reptiles they will see are potentially dangerous. Neither Nambiti Conservation Trust, Silver Charm Investments 11 (Pty) Ltd, Sherpa Trade and Invest 16 (Pty) Ltd, any lodge owner, their staff members, associates, agents, nor their suppliers can be held liable for any injuries caused during an incident involving the behaviour of wild animals.

8. Dietary Requirements
Any special dietary requirements must be advised at time of booking or well in advance of check-in. We will do our utmost to comply with your requirements.
