This beautiful preserved historic residence was constructed during 1902. The architecture of over 100 years ago is surrounded by a breathtaking garden and creates a perfect atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The interior speaks of an old world charm and uplifts the spirit of appreciation. Four spacious bedrooms, 1 en-suite and 3 sharing a bathroom. All the bedrooms have access onto the verandah surrounding the house. A family room with outside patio and braai, dining room seating 8 and a modern kitchen.

Ouma se Opstal, also known as Granny’s Homestead, is situated at the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, a World Heritage Site. The Kopje at the back of the house known as Impimbo in Zulu or Arthur’s Seat, was an observation point for Dingaan’s Impis. The historic battlefield of Spionkop is a couple of kilometres away. A trip to the Spionkop Game Reserve is also well worth a visit.

This classic old home is surrounded by all the activities that are on offer in the Champagne Valley, only a few minutes drive away.
