Whether you’re a nature lover or outdoor enthusiast, Valley of the Rainbow Mountain Fly Fishing Estate and Nature Reserve is an incredible place to be all year’ round.

Surrounded by mountains, indigenous forests and rivers and with a mild climate and malaria free this is a venue to experience peace and tranquility away from city life.

The venue is near the towns of Dullstroom and Belfast, and is well situated on the premier tourist routes form Johannesburg and Pretoria to the tourist attractions on the eastern escarpment and lowveld regions of Mpumalanga, South Africa.

Driving distance on the N12/N4 double carriageway from Johannesburg/Pretoria is approximately 2 hours.

The diversity of fauna and flora is exceptional for the area, with a variety of birds, indigenous tree species and wildlife species evident.
Accommodation

The resort is an exclusive retreat that combines the extraordinary beauty of an awe-inspiring natural landscape with the convenience and hospitality of a luxury resort. Various accommodation available.

Manor House
Guests have a choice of five rooms each with a comfortable lounge area and a well appointed en-suite bathroom. A spacious lounge with an open fire-place for cold winter evenings, bar, dining room with fire-place, library and TV invites guests to more than home luxuries. The spacious deck overlooks a river running through the valley, gardens, forests, mountains and lakes.

Country House
The Country House is decorated in a classic country style and offers five luxurious double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom access to the veranda, with a magnificent view over the valley, indigenous forest and mountains. The country house is self-catering and accommodates a maximum of 10 persons.

Tented Chalets
Tent Chalets provide the more adventurous guests the opportunity to experience nature in comfortable accommodation. Each chalet is with an en-suite bathroom, front seating deck with kitchenette and with views over one of the lakes in the valley. The family chalet sleeps four and the honeymoon chalet sleeps two persons comfortably.

Luxury Nature Cabins
Guests can experience nature in one of our Private Luxury Nature Cabins in an indigenous forest overlooking a river in one of the valleys on the property. The private cabins are designed for romantic couples (accommodates two persons) to experience the natural environment. Cabins are self catering but meals can be taken in the restaurant in the Manor House

The picturesque watermill which was built in the 19th century has been renovated into 2 separate accommodation rooms with incredible views of the dams, mountains and forests of Valley of the Rainbow estate.

The newly renovated Mill, opens to a social bar and lounge area fitted with a bar fridge, stocked wine cooler and DSTV. The fireplace on the lower floor offers guests to relax and to warm up in winter. On the mezzanine level, the luxury Mill is equipped with a plush double bed and bathroom.

This upper-level sleeping area offers unique views of the dams. On the lower level there is a full bathroom with a double shower.

The Mill Room adjacent to the Mill, is spacious with plush king size bed, a lounge area with a TV and DSTV connection, stocked wine cooler, bar fridge and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower.

The fireplace offers guests to relax during the cold winter nights. The open plan design of the room leads to a veranda overlooking the river. All rooms have coffee/tea making facilities.
