Braeside Guest House in Swellendam is situated on the main road that looks onto the Marloth Mountain Nature Reserve and the Langeberg Mountains, and set in a large and well maintained garden.

It offers accommodation in 5 en-suite bedrooms, each with a private garden terrace, mountain or pool views, air-conditioning or ceiling fans, and queen beds. Breakfast is served daily, and there is verandah. Braeside is a convenient stop-over for travellers en route to or from the Garden Route.

Swellendam features the Drostdy Museum and Moeder Kerk, both within easy walking distance of Braeside. There is a 9-hole golf course for golfing enthusiasts and trails in the Marloth Nature Reserve and Langeberg Mountains for hikers.
