The panoramic Franschhoek, nestled in the Cape Winelands, is home to the relaxing Gable Manor guesthouse. Franschhoek is known as the “Gourmet Capital of South Africa” and the vineyards of the valley produce some of the finest wines the country has to offer. The main street is lined with antique shops, art galleries, street cafes and a variety of restaurants. Cape Town is within 70km from Franschhoek, an ideal base from which to explore route 62, the Mother City and other major attractions such as seasonal whale watching.

The Cape Dutch style guesthouse is stylishly furnished and offers two suites and four bedrooms. Each room is air conditioned and features a king-size bed, crisp white percale linen, soft gowns, satellite TV, tea and coffee tray, carpets, safe, UK wall plugs and hairdryers. The modern en-suite bathrooms boast a power shower, lit mirror, heated towel rail, bath sheets and bath towels. The guesthouse is a non-smoking establishment and accommodates children over the age of 12 years.

A large and varied full breakfast, including local cheese and homemade bread, is served at the guesthouse. Refreshments are available on request. Nearby activities include wine tasting, trout fishing, bird watching, golf, bicycle touring, health and fitness, horse riding, walking and hiking. Guests can relax at the solar heated poolside and the pool lounge offers a library and a variety of games.
