The St. James of Knysna is an exclusive, owner run, five stars Country House Hotel uniquely situated directly on the shores of the famous Knysna Lagoon. The luxuriously appointed Suites & Rooms offer spectacular views across this peaceful lagoon to the dramatic Knysna Heads or over the magnificent 3 acre gardens. Whether guests stay in the Manor or the Courtyard, all the rooms and suites feature en-suite bathrooms, mini bars, tea/coffee making facilities, satellite (DSTV), television, safes, irons & ironing boards, direct-dial telephones, bath robes and hairdryers. The magnificent gardens offer peaceful walks, a large Koi pond, 2 swimming pools, croquet, and angling off the private jetty. There is also a powerboat for water skiing and sightseeing cruises and canoes for guests wishing to explore this fascinating eco-system on their own. The St. James has a policy of total exclusivity, privacy, security and dedication to personal service.

For a pure adrenalin rush get into the more extreme sports of abseiling, paragliding, scuba diving or water skiing and some of the best mountain bike routes in the country. Situated between lush forests and the shores of the peaceful estuary it offers many activities and attractions to a wide variety of people. Policy
CANCELLATIONS 100 % of the value of the total stay if cancelled 7 days or less prior to date of arrival, or if no show; 50% of the value of the total stay if cancelled less than 30 days prior to date of arrival; 25% of the value of the total stay if cancelled less than 60 days prior to date of arrival. The full extent of the stay will be charged for in the event of a premature departure. This is not dependent on the hotel?s occupancy level. Guests are advised to take out travel insurance. Please note – NO verbal cancellations will be accepted. All cancellations are to be faxed directly to the hotel.
